Your responsibilities
- Supporting and coordinating scope related to tax during transformation project (deployment of SAP S/4 HANA as well as Vertex, the VAT determination engine)
- Ensuring that the Indirect tax outcome of newly deployed systems are compliant
- Assisting in user acceptance testing, implementation and stabilization
- Monitoring and reporting on progress and animating the project status meetings, delivering presentations/trainings on the process
- Working closely with Hitachi Energy Finance, IT teams, tax personnel across the world
- Keeping knowledge up to date regarding new systems and bringing learning into the organization
- Providing support to temporary work teams, guide and monitor task completion, share expert knowledge and advice with/without carrying line responsibility
- Validating the local tax requirements and assuring company’s compliance with respect to tax
- Providing tax expertise in the defined tax area to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations,
- Supporting Indirect Tax activities required by directives and policies (including preparation of tax returns etc.)
Your background
- Masters / Bachelor Degree degree in Finance, Tax or equivalent is required
- Practical SAP knowledge (e.g. FI, SD modules)
- At least 3 years of progressive work experience in area of Finance (preferably gained in a SSC/BPO/international environment)
- Fluent English language and good interpersonal and communication skills, experience in managing complex and diverse stakeholders. Excellent presentation skills is highly desirable
- Comfortable with leading calls and delivering presentations/trainings on the process, Strong coordination skills.
- Knowledge of Vertex or similar indirect tax engine not required but as an additional asset.
