Department Overview

The Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery. The Systems and Indirect Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Software, Hardware and Services both used internally by Motorola Solutions as well as those offered to our customers as part of product offerings and solutions.

Forming an integral part of a global procurement function you will help to develop and implement the strategic direction of a defined project or projects to be tailored to the incoming intern, focusing on Business Support Service needs as they relate to the categories. Through proactively driving the entire supplier life-cycle, you will ensure a seamless supply of Business Support Services meeting the business requirements, underpinned by the awareness of risk.

• Fluent English, other languages would be an asset.
• In a University Degree Program, Engineering would be an asset.
• Candidates with expected graduation in 2022 preferred.
• Strong desire to learn and work toward a career in Procurement.
• Computer savvy and ability to manage, analyze and present data in meaningful formats.
• General understanding on Software and Computing Science – not programming skills related.
• Strong interpersonal/communication and presentation skills with a passion for negotiating.
• Ability to work across geographies.
• Work at least 30 hours per week.
• Willingness to work on flexible hours.
• Business acumen and basic understanding of business financials.
• Comfortable with and able to quickly learn new business software applications/systems.
