Department Overview

We are responsible for delivering Motorola Solutions Instructor-led Technical Training (either virtually or in class) to customers, partners and employees, while achieving high level of participants’ satisfaction. The range of courses an instructor delivers can cover systems, infrastructure, subscribers and/or relevant foundation skills.

Main responsibilities of the Education Instructor – German/English Language:

• Deliver face-to-face training sessions, either at MSI training centres/facilities or at the customer/partner site.   Average of 100 delivery days per year.
• Deliver virtual training sessions
• Co-ordinate Training Programmes, including third party Training, working with the Project team and Customer.
• Collaborate with Lab Technicians on the readiness and maintenance of training labs
• Collaborate with the Content & Media team consulting on the technical content of the courses you deliver, and reporting any technical inaccuracy identified in training materials
• Collaborate with the Translations team reviewing the German translated Training material.
• Translation of Training material when required.
• Preparation of additional training material (tests, worksheets etc.)
• Training Needs Analysis
• Prepare requisite manuals and handouts ahead of training sessions (Administration work)
• Determine overall effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements to enhance the training materiel used
• Travel will be required within EMEA, mainly – Germany, Austria, UK and Poland.

Basic Requirements of the Worldwide Education Instructor – German/English Language:

• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Eligible to live and work in an EU based country.  The role will require security clearance.
• Strong background in communications solutions, applications and architecture.
• Experience as a Technical Instructor OR experience working as a system engineer, field engineer, or other technical support position.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to present to customers.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to Travel on business for up to 3 weeks at a time.

The following skills are considered desirable:

• Experience with Public Safety and/or Military customers.
• Knowledge of either DIMETRATM,   MOTOTRBOTM, ASTRO®  systems and subscribers.
