The role itself…

This role is working on one of our key products, Unitrends.

What is it? Unitrends MSP is an aggregator of sorts. We install the “MSP agent” on the appliance which communicates with the appliance API to gather data to send the UMSP data service. This agent is written in go-lang. The web app is a collection of services written in C#/.Net core, go-lang, Entity Framework, MySQL and more. The front end web app is Angular/React.

In general, the MSP Portal application only allows users to view data from their appliances and we are looking towards managing the remote appliances from the portal. We are also integrating the MSP Portal with the broader suite of products from Kaseya. And, we are currently transitioning MSP Portal from Angular to React to align technology expertise with other products. Also we are changing the look and feel of the portal through re-design of UI and certain workflows to improve user experience. 

In other words, it's not endless bug fixes. It's true product development work.

We’re looking for an experienced full-stack Software Development Engineer to help drive our transition to the new technology platform (React, .Net Core, Sql Server). In this role, you will lead the re-definition of major functionality in Unitrends MSP by contributing to the front-endand back-end work. This is part of a team that includes experienced designers, platform developers, testers, and DevOps. This role will interact with a cross-functional agile team that is responsible for delivering changes to the most critical areas of Kaseya’s product, UMSP.  

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Kaseya, you will help design, develop, and implement code for our award-winning products. We use a wide range of technologies internally and look for interesting experiences and skill sets.  Our team and our leadership place a strong emphasis on the delivery of each individual developer, tester, designer and operations professional. We work in small, tightly managed agile teams that permit each developer to do its best work, and to deliver immediate impact and leadership to the company.

• SDEs take ownership of their code and work closely with others to develop new features as well as efficiently address reported defects in ways that delight our customers.   
• Using an Agile/Scrum methodology, SDEs discuss requirements, propose solutions, estimate their work, and then collaborate with others through the entire lifecycle.   
• Follow the established Agile/Scrum methodology for software design, development, code reviews, and testing  Ensuring product quality and reliability   
• Design, develop and integrate solutions that can be shipped on time while complying with standards for usability, security, stability, reliability and performance.  

• BS in Computer Science  
• 3+ years of experience in .Net full-stack development (C#),   
• Familiar with React, Typescript   
• Experience of Rest APIs creation  
• Strong understanding of relational databases and knows how to read and write SQL queries  
• Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins, BitBucket or similar production tools  
• Experience working in n-tier design patterns,  SaaS,  responsive front-end  
• Effective English communication skills (both written and verbal), B2 minimum.
