As part of the Learning organization, the operations organization enables the Learning organization to deliver courses and content globally as required and to act as the intermediary for the Learning organization elements, its suppliers and third party support vendors.

The DITA/HTML Application Support person will be the primary development lead for HTML content in a multi-system environment.The support lead will also troubleshoot identified issues and track tickets raised in Jira.  The support person will:

• Maintain existing DITA-OT HTML Plug-Ins in support of multiple output formats and languages.
• Design / build new functionality for existing Plug-ins and design / build original Plugins
• Maintain data integrity and cross-platform functionality in supported systems.  
• Provide support to end users, including resolving issues and escalating faults to the appropriate work stream.  Actively participate in testing new functionality / applications prior to going live. 
• Understand and work with documentation designers to ensure teams’ applications needs are met and are fairly represented on regional or global projects. 
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HTML based plugins developed on Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA),  Darwin Information Typing Architecture Open Toolkit (DITA-OT) published through the Content Management System (CMS) easyDITA
• Participate in DITA or documentation Community of Practice (CoP)  
• Develop one off solutions in HTML, CSS, JS or XML in other systems that host basic HTML sites
• Document development in appropriate repositories such as GIT
• Develop and maintain stylesheets in Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) and execute other XML transformations
• Work with development team members to identify problems and possible tool improvements
• Consult with strategy SME(s) on enhancements and capabilities of a particular tool(s) 
• Communicate with MSI internal IT Support
• Ensure compliance to architecture requirements
• Ensure compliance to documentation standards
• Be responsible for software compliance criteria and audits
• Write easyDITA / Oxygen plugins, add-ons, reports, integrations, API calls, etc.
• Develop and maintain knowledge regarding trends and best practices for learning solutions in the industry
• Identify technology or product synergies between the Learning organization and the rest of MSI

• Mentors and coaches functional project teams. 
• Maintains a network of business contacts across Motorola Solutions
• Persuasive and effective in facilitating personal and group decision-making.
• Develops and implements communications plans relative to supported tools.
• Leads or participate in at least one community of practice within Motorola Solutions
• Effective in facilitating team and business decisions.
• Collaborate closely and share knowledge with peers to investigate, recommend and / or implement changes to the Learning organization business model and overall strategy
