The role surrounds the remediation of an operational risk item within finance and the management of their nostro accounts.

It incorporates Client's Reference Data IT strategic direction by offering a cloud solution to this problem

Version 2 of the application has to be delivered in August 2021. Functionality at this point will be:

• Subledger files ingested into CUMULUS
• Myriad File ingested into cumulus
• Reconciliation between data sets
• Data distribution to Risk cloud solution 'MEG'
• Reconciliation analysis and notification to stakeholders

Version 3 applies further 'bells and whistles' to the original solution

We need the candidate to come on board ASAP to learn and assist current dev team in ver2 of the application and then to lead ver3

There is significant demand in the cumulus space with this nostro experience leading to further cumulus projects

We do have 3 years contract with our customer in this particular area.

Additionally to that project, note that the entire our area(DataIT) is migrating to the Cloud (MS Azure-based) and the scope of work in the area is huge. We do have a great list of technical tasks and brilliant career perspectives for everyone who is able to perform, can take a responsibility and would like to grow

Objectives of the project

• The need for certain centralization of existing systems due to complexity and number of up/down streams to make technical solution more manageable and offer new capabilities.
• The target architecture should improve governance and centralize more capabilities into the shared layer, providing opportunities for efficiency and increased control.
• Expand the capabilities of the solution to cope with new market challenges.

Mandatory skills:

• The primary development language is Scala. Other language knowledge is a big plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and technical curiosity are essential
• Good understanding of core computer science concepts and code optimization techniques
• Ability to drive the process, suggest new approaches, ideas, solutions.
• Experience in Scrum / Agile methodology
• Hands-on knowledge of scripting (Shell, Javascript, Python or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and delivery with Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity or similar tools
• Experience with Oracle DB/PostrgreSQL
• Investment banking experience and Banking related background
