To strengthen our CSB Team, we are looking for a Backend Engineer who is a great team player with excellent communication skills. The Team is settled in PL and reports to Arkadiusz Zagrodnik. Unique opportunity to cooperate with the stakeholders from US and Japan, while keeping the standard working hours for PL location. As a Software Engineer you will be a member of the Agile development team, delivering software solutions for energy portfolio optimization.
Your responsibilities
- Cooperate with product owner, engineers and business stakeholders to analyze the requirements and develop enterprise class solution.
- Gain domain and solution knowledge, understand the business logic.
- Development of REST API features and provide changes in business backend logic written mostly in PL/SQL. Cooperate with other backend developers.
- Design the feasibility to migrate PL/SQL code to the other product-agnostic technology (long term goal).
- Optionally contribute to new frontend UI code written in React (depends on your skillset and development path).
- Follow best software development practices to ensure high quality (includes unit testing, performance testing, security scans and document API).
- Use Scrum framework on the daily basis and participate in all team’s duties.
Your background
- Minimum of 5+ years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong Java programming skills including Spring Boot experience are essential.
- Nice to have skills: Oracle PL/SQL (or good SQL and willingness to learn), React if you want to contribute to frontend as well.
- Initiative and drive, take active approach to meet the goals.
- Very Good English skills, both written and spoken.
