Motorola Solutions Finance Operations Center (F.O.C.) provides world-class finance, accounting and purchasing services to Motorola branches in Europe, Middle East, Africa, US and Latin America region. General Ledger department is in charge of General Accounting, Global Fixed Assets & Intercompany Operations, Tax and Transfer Pricing, Statutory & other Compliance activities for Motorola’s entities in the region.

• Delivering technical accounting advice to statutory and GL accountants in the GL & Compliance Department
• Preparing disclosure notes and updating financial statements in cases when new accounting standards are being introduced, working together with the statutory accountants supporting their scope
• Performing quality reviews of draft financial statements before their submission to external statutory auditors
• Liaising with external auditors on all technical accounting matters, challenging their approach if required
• Delivering internal trainings to team on technical accounting matters
• Liaising with all internal departments as well as external advisors; managing external relationships if required
• Working on accounting and reporting process improvements
• Coordinating audit and reporting tasks if required
• Involvement in projects
• Other ad-hoc tasks as determined by the GL & Compliance Manager

• Minimum of 5 years’ of experience in statutory audit, technical accounting advisory or statutory reporting
• Very strong and up-to-date technical accounting knowledge, ideally IFRS
• Accountancy qualification
• Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong MS Excel; Google Suite, experience in using reporting tools (such as Tableau) and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) GL module a plus
• Masters’ Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or similar
• Self-motivated, confident self-starter with a proactive approach
• Very good interpersonal skills to build working relations with people at different levels
• Ability to work in an intense, fast paced and multinational work environment
