Your role

Do you want to design and build next generation business applications using the latest technologies? Can you lead a team of engineers to deliver robust solutions with respect to time and budgets. Are you confident at iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity? Do you like to be challenged and encouraged to learn and grow professionally?

We're looking for software engineers to:

  • lead the design and implementation of Data Warehouse applications and architectures, in the context of Intraday Liquidity reporting
  • drive solution development as we move to be one of the first teams to use our cloud based big data solution.
  • analyse business requirements for our current and upcoming regulatory and MIS commitments
  • deliver sustainable and scalable solutions using distributed processing
  • providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
  • conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
  • see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
  • organise the development team members, plan work taking in considerations individuals strength while supporting current business needs
Responsibilities

Your role

Responsibilities within team:

  • tuning of performance for various complex queries
  • writing packages, views, functions in PL/SQL in order on new functionality creation according to business needs
  • assess storage requirements and forecasting database growth.
  • work with multiple dev and UAT environments, synchronize data across those envs.

Your team

We are credit risk system within the bank, responsible for various financial measures calculations, such as EAD, xVAs, etc.

Your expertise

We are looking for:

  • strong PL/SQL skills
  • strong performance tuning
  • Python / PowerShell skills would be beneficial
  • Analytical thinking and ability to handle issues independently
Skills
  • experienced working on teams using Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP, TDD)
  • PL/SQL development and database design
  • experience with RDBMS, strong SQL skills, PL/SQL knowledge essential
  • bachelor's/master's degree or equivalent with a focus in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance related subject
  • have strong analytical & design skills and be structured and systematic in your approach
  • fluent in English essential
