Project Description:

The project team will be closely working with one of the biggest international banks in the investment banking area related to the structured products management. Regular duties will include working on few core banking systems which are growing because of extending the business. The project allows dealing with complex enterprise level applications and big data.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze document requirements and data flows
  • Identify areas for improvement in either business processes or the system
  • Communicate with clients in the UK / US
  • Perform high level analysis to define the scope of incoming project request
  • Co-manage the book of work with the product managers
  • Manage deliveries/changes: design and track project milestones with project/service managers
  • Agree priorities with stakeholders based on milestones
  • Closely track and address broken assumptions (agree extra funding, phase the delivery or delay/advance a certain delivery to fit overall portfolio constraints)
  • Keep the track of the risk register and work with both the delivery team and the client to prepare mitigation strategies
  • In case of risk actually happening create and agree with all stakeholders alternative/exceptions plans
  • Participate and lead quality assurance process
  • Participate in Incident analysis
Skills
  • SQL skills on a level sufficient to analyze big amount of data
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Understanding of Scrum/Kanban methodologies
  • Efficient time management
  • Reasonable Project Management Skills and desire to improve them
  • Client facing skills*- communicate high level cost estimate and associated assumptions*- handle tough questions from clients*- Ability/desire to learn the System Architecture and represent the team as SME
  • Self-motivated, independent person
  • Leadership = ability to supervise, motivate and influence people working with them (e.g. scrum team) without being their manager
