Overall Job Purpose

Majorel is seeking discerning individuals to collect and examine information in the cyber security intelligence field. The individual should understand the basics of cyber security aspects that are discussed in the news, in security reports and in hacking forums.

You will be working at collecting and examining various types of information from different sources, social media, forums and public available data. You will help to constantly improve the workflow and efficiency, as well as finding new sources. You will be working with various TIPs (Threat Intelligence Platforms), in terms of monitoring and assessing information related to the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring and evaluating online social media, forums posts and web page content related to cyber threats and cyber crime ecosystem
• Escalate and log the relevant findings using internal tools
• Find and filter new leads, sources and types of sources
• Find and notify new abuse types that have not been covered yet
• Examine TIPs (Threat Intelligence Platforms) the team is working with, best practices, pros and cons, provide constructive feedback to improve workflow
• Build new search queries for the team
• You may be required from time to time to support different workflows/products/markets depending on business need

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Fluency in written and spoken the required language for this role is essential
• Intermediate level of written and verbal English is essential
• The ideal candidate will have a degree in one of the following: IT, security, management, journalism, digital media, international relations or a related field, or have an equivalent work experience.
• Experience with monitoring social media channels and / or repositories such as IT forums.
• Basic IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new tools
• Comfortable with reviewing internet content that may be deemed inappropriate and/or contain explicit material
• At least 1 year of experience in cyber security related role is preferred
• Understanding of cyber security basics is preferred
• Experience with working on TIPs (Threat intelligence Platforms) is a plus
• Strong interest in cyber security, internet, culture, news media and current trending events
• Familiarity with Internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environment
• Familiarity with hacking / internet slang / lingo
• Ability to efficiently work under pressure, including urgent and dynamic situations
• Interest and curiosity towards the cyber security world
• Proven ability to deliver highest quality results while paying strict attention to detail, juggling multiple projects at once
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable, when meeting rapid business needs
• Demonstrate cultural awareness for the language and market for which they are being hired
• Strong work ethic and ability to work with limited supervision
