As a Database Technician you will be a member of our Polish Operation Center team in Krakow, supporting delivery of HITACHI Energy EMS/DMS/SCADA systems and applications globally. Your duties will include configuring systems using Network Control approved product implementation standards, as well as acquiring working knowledge of regional market needs and helping drive standardization in the delivery process.
Your responsibilities
- Import and export customer data according to database documentation, product data standards and procedures using SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, inhouse DB tools)
- Provide technical and business assistance to identify, evaluate and develop customer data models
- Design and create SCADA/HMI visualizations
- Monitor, document and assist in post-implementation troubleshooting, problems solving and providing solutions
- Develop, coordinate and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development, deployment and quality assurance testing
- Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures
- Cooperate with other teams and the customers using English on daily basis - international travel required (up to 10%)
Your background
- Basic knowledge of relational database (SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating system
- Curiosity to troubleshoot and determination to achieve the goal
- Linux, VMs, MS Office Excel - nice to have
- Experience with designing and creating visualization/diagrams/graphics is a plus
- Experience with programming, SCADA systems or electrical power engineering would be an advantage
- Eagerness to learn various technologies including inhouse products and tools
